Overview

Absorb LMS acquired Together, an online mentorship platform, to create what they positioned as the first holistic learning solution combining mentoring with an AI-powered LMS. With the acquisition came an immediate design challenge: how do you merge two distinct brand identities without erasing what made either one recognizable?

The design team was tasked to build a unified brand system. The goal was to retain the warmth and approachability of Together's existing visual identity while introducing Absorb's color language, creating something that felt cohesive, intentional, and ready to scale across all customer-facing collateral.

Approach

We began with mapping Together's typography, color palette, iconography, and tone against Absorb's design language. Rather than splitting the difference equally, the decision was made to keep Together's visual guidelines as the foundation, given that the platform would continue operating as a standalone product for its existing customer base.

From there, the team developed a set of brand guidelines that covered typography scale, color usage rules, spacing principles, and component patterns. Every deliverable — from ebooks to social assets — was built against this system to ensure consistency across channels. The result was a system where Together feels evolved and not replaced.

Design Components

Ebook Template

A multi-page document template built in Figma to support Together's content marketing output — white papers, case studies, and research reports. The layout uses Together's editorial typographic style with Absorb's accent colors applied to chapter headers, pull quotes, and callout blocks. The template is built to be reused with minimal customization, keeping production time low without sacrificing visual quality.

Social Media Assets

A library of social templates sized for LinkedIn, Instagram, including announcement formats, quote cards, event promotions, and blog promotion posts. The system uses a consistent grid and typographic hierarchy, with color variants that allow the marketing team to differentiate content types while staying within the brand system.

We updated Together's profile pages on LinkedIn to acknowledge the acquisition while maintaining the feel of the Together brand.

PowerPoint Template

A slide deck system covering the full range of presentation needs — from internal decks to customer-facing proposals. Slide layouts include title, section divider, data/chart, quote, and team bio variants. Color zones in each layout are mapped to the combined palette, so presenters can build on-brand decks without needing design support. Graphic elements and image library are added at the end for easy access.

Image Library

A curated and organized library of approved photography with Together's graphic elements that align with the combined brand's tone — professional but human, growth-oriented, diverse. Guidelines define how imagery should be cropped, filtered, and paired with Together's graphic shapes, ensuring visual consistency even when pulling from stock sources.

Outcome

The project delivered a complete brand system and a suite of production-ready templates that the broader team could use immediately. Designers, marketers, and content creators across both organizations now work from a shared visual language — reducing one-off decisions and keeping every customer touchpoint on-brand.

The system strikes the balance it set out to: existing Together customers see familiar, trusted branding; new audiences encounter a cohesive identity that signals the strength of the combined company.
